LGBT carers in London to benefit from Free Knowledge and Skills Programme

gmi partnershipCaring with Confidence is a free programme which helps carers aged 18 and over build on their own strengths, share experiences and gain useful information, ideas and tips about looking after someone to help them decide how to make positive changes to their caring role. People supporting those from LGBT communities regardless of their own sexual orientation are welcome on the courses.

Sessions are being run by the GMI Partnership and London Borough of Hounslow and are being held in locations across London on a weekly basis.

New survey for Non scene MSM
The Naz Project and West London Gay Men's Project have been commissioned to carry out a survey of men who have sex with men (MSM) who do not use gay venues such as bars, clubs and saunas.
The aim of this consultation is to provide information on MSM and to identify their sexual health needs. It is hoped that these needs will be met with tailored services and easier access. We would very much appreciate your help in this piece of work.

Community ConversationsCommunity Conversations
From September 2008 to October 2008 Naz Project London organised Community Conversation events to bring together, and facilitate a dialogue between people and various interest groups, whose work has an impact on young people's sexual health.

The 3 Community Conversations raised many questions and important issues relating to BME young people's sexual health. It is envisaged that the feedback received at these events will be used to inform improvements in the planning and delivery of Sex and Relationships Education to meet the sexual health needs of BME young people.
